Sorbonne University has a single governance structure, which fully integrates the governance of the Idex into Sorbonne University.

It includes:

-    A Board, which is solely responsible for the management and administration of the University. The Board includes delegates from Sorbonne University alongside a majority of external experts, local actors and delegates from research organisations and associate institutions. It will define the strategic directions and principles of Idex fund allocation.
-    An Academic Senate with delegates from the academic and non-academic staff and students of Sorbonne University.
-    A Strategy Committee composed of internationally renowned experts from academic, cultural and economic spheres.
