A combination of facilities and learning resources

    learning center

A Learning Center is, above all, a physical space although one can access elements of the services online. The concept has been developed since the 90's in several universities in Europe (Sheffield Hallam or Glasgow Caledonian  in the UK, University of Barcelona in Spain, Avans or Delft in the Netherlands, etc.). The English term learning' is used more generally than apprentissage. Learning can encompass study, training, experiential learning, research, knowledge and knowledge creation.

The Learning Center of Sorbonne University is a fusion between architecture, pedagogy, technology and human interaction. It offers a combination of facilities and learning resources tightly articulated with a pedagogic dimension and a social approach to the acquisition of knowledge.
