Female entrepreneurship, the arts and culture at Cenquatre!

Sorbonne University is joining forces with the organization 100,000 entrepreneurs for the 4th Youth Awareness Week for Female Entrepreneurship. This year, in partnership with the 104factory, the incubator at CENTQUATRE-PARIS, an evening on women’s entrepreneurship in a cultural environment has been organized for Friday March 11, 2016, at 5pm.

Sorbonne University, in partnership with the organization 100,000 entrepreneurs and the 104, will be putting the spotlight on ‘cultural’ entrepreneurship throughout the evening. The arts and culture will be the common topics in this event during which some entrepreneurs who work in these sectors and graduated from Sorbonne University institutions are expected to make an appearance.

Indeed, far from being contradictory, the processes of artistic creation and entrepreneurship share many similarities: risk taking in the creative process, facing the public, searching for funding, etc. In addition, if creativity is essential for all entrepreneurs in the commercial sector, considering economic challenges is also an essential consideration for any artistic project in order for this project be completed.

Female entrepreneurs in a cultural environment and young resident artists will come and share the experiences of their entrepreneurial adventure and provide feedback on this over the course of the evening.

5pm to 7pm: Speed meeting between students and entrepreneurs, in the presence of numerous female entrepreneurs, in particular those from Paris-Sorbonne, UPMC, member institutions of Sorbonne University and those being supported by the 104factory.

7.15pm to 7.30pm: Extract from the ‘Les secrets de Camille’ show paying homage to Camille Claudel and created by the choreographer Lia Rives who graduated from the Pôle Supérieur Paris Boulogne-Billancourt (Sorbonne University).

7.30pm to 8.30pm: Round table on the topic of ‘Unique creative pathways for women: female artists and entrepreneurs’

Among others present will be Alice Mulliez, an associate artist with CENTQUATRE and two Paris-Sorbonne entrepreneurs: Marie-Charlotte Belle, an advisor in engineering on cultural and tourist sites and Lucie Brux, a video editor.

8.30pm: Drinks
