Innovation with the University of Waterloo

A cooperation agreement was signed on November 30, 2015 by Thierry Tuot, President of Sorbonne University, and Feridun Hamdullahpur, President of the University of Waterloo, in the presence of Alain Storck, President of the University of Technology of Compiègne. The association is based on a joint interest in innovation and integration in housing projects.

Renowned for its particularly dynamic position on issues related to innovation and technology transfer, Waterloo has been developing an original model as a research university rooted in the local economic ecosystem.

The first joint initiatives with Sorbonne University will be joint projects in the fields of research pursued at the Institut Universitaire d’Ingénierie et Santé and in student entrepreneurship, adding an international dimension to the activities of the PEPITE Paris Centre

The agreement was the result of an exploratory delegation sent to learn about the University of Waterloo’s entrepreneur-friendly ecosystem.
