Scientific cooperation: UPMC hosts the European marine science community

As of March 1, 2016, the Sorbonne University UPMC’s Jussieu campus in Paris now hosts the headquarters of the European Marine Biology Resource Center (EMBRC Europe).

One of the largest networks of scientific cooperation and research on the continent, EMBRC Europe brings together the community of marine biologists from nine European countries. Some 1,200 people are working on marine science at UPMC, the top marine university in France and even in Europe, with marine stations that date back more than a century.
